Introduction to Quality Control
Quality Control (QC) for Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality is described in this document.
Within this module, it is possible to execute the following actions:
- Create user-definable quality control tests and measurements with applicable result values
- Automate the creation of QC Documents when Lots are brought into Inventory
- Create ad-hoc QC Documents for any Lot
- Assign quality control test groups to items and item categories
- Add additional QC Tests to existing QC Documents for additional testing
- Register QC test results for individual and/or multiple documents
- Review QC test results from a Factbox in the Item Ledger Entries
- Copy and apply repeat test results to multiple lots
- Apply QC Formulas to calculate QC Results
- Block or unblock lots based on test results
- Send a Certificate of Analysis (COA) Report
- Send or print attachments on QC Documents to customers during the sales order process
- Register inventory movements for quality testing and quarantine
- Create internal and external lab samples
- Scan multiple lots to generate internal or external samples across multiple QC Documents
- Set program indicators for inheritance of quality control testing and results from source
- Auto-approve QC Documents or require approval
- Support for basic or advanced warehousing activities
- Reconcile QC Documents with received expense invoices from the labs
- Permissions assignment to users and/or user groups for quality control activities
- Set rules around defect sampling
